• How long does a counseling session last?

Please plan on 60-90 minutes for your session. Some sessions may be shorter or longer, but the average time is one hour.

  • Is there a cost for counseling?

There is no cost for counseling. Purchasing books or other resources for your growth plan may be required, but if it is, this cost is typically under $25.

  • Is childcare available?

No. We cannot provide childcare at this time because of appointment times, facility limitations, and the wide range of children's ages.

  • How many times should I expect to see a counselor?

The length of counseling depends on the counseling problem, but you can typically expect 8-12 sessions with your counselor. Your counselor's goal is not to make you dependent on your sessions but to help you understand and apply God's word to every area of your life so you can make lasting growth and change and help others do the same.

  • What is a growth plan?

Practical steps for you to take in between sessions that will help you apply the biblical truths your counselor has shown you in your sessions.

  • What if I need to cancel a session?

We understand. Sometimes circumstances arise that conflict with appointment times. Please notify us as soon as possible if this is the case.

  • What makes biblical counseling different?

Biblical counseling is done by a Christian who counsels from God's true word, the Bible. Biblical counselors believe scripture is sufficient for all matters of life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3) and are committed to letting God speak for himself through his word. Biblical counselors believe heart change is dependent on the ministry of the Holy Spirit and seek to minister the love of Christ that deals with the weight of sin and suffering so there might be genuine transformation in the inner person.
